Make a Reservation for this Weekend

With just a little planning, you can put together a Napa weekend retreat that avoids the crowds and provides you a truly memorable experience. Wine country has multiple ongoing events with limited space that ensure the intimacy of the experience. With a reservation, or two, your Napa getaway can be as unique as you are.

Robert Mondavi and Beringer two of Napa’s oldest wineries – both offer multiple guided tours daily throughout the year. Because these tours are limited to 10 to 20 people each, reservations are highly recommended. Additionally, Merryvale three different tasting experiences daily: a cheese and wine pairing, a tour and barrel tasting, and a library portfolio tasting. All of Merryvale’s tastings require reservations. Finally, Young Inglewood offers appointment-only behind-the-scene tours of their vineyards concluding with a seated tasting of their estate and winery only wines.

Feeling innovative? Take a Tasting Exploration at Franciscan Estate with a Sensory Evaluation or wine blending experience. If you are never without your smart phone, take one of the industry’s first interactive, downloadable, tours at William Hill for a vineyard experience like no other.

On Fridays and Sundays at 11 am, join Gourmet Walks on the Gourmet Napa Walking Tour. Experience California cuisine at seven local restaurants with enough “tasting” to keep you satisfied until dinner.

Complete your weekend with activities that do not require reservations. The Napa Farmer’s Market is on Saturdays from 8 am to 12:30 pm. Spring through Fall, V. Sattui Winery holds a BBQ every Saturday and Sunday afternoon – weather permitting. Or, learn about some of the smaller area wineries at Backroom Wines during one of their “Off the Grid” tasting of local wineries without tasting rooms.

The Napa Valley is about more than just food and wine. There are always a multitude of art, music, and historic exhibitions to see. For your romantic getaway, or your family getaway, a weekend in Wine Country cannot be beat when you stay with us at the Candlelight Inn Napa Valley.
