NAPA’S CANDLELIGHT INN NAMED AMONG
TOP 10 MOST ROMANTIC INNS BY AMERICAN HISTORIC INNS

Napa, CA – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, American Historic Inns, Inc., publisher of more than 2.5 million bed & breakfast guidebooks and companion Web site iLoveInns.com,  has announced their picks for “2007 Top 10 Romantic Inns”, including Napa Valley’s Candlelight Inn.  Each year the iLoveInns.com staff spends countless hours on the road, pouring through notes and files in debate to choose the most romantic inns. In 2004 Candlelight Inn was voted one of the Top 10 Inns in California; this year the inn made it to the national Top10 Most Romantic Inns list, one of the most highly coveted bed and breakfast awards in the country.

Those on the list were selected for attributes such as their luxurious decor, hospitality, sense of history and overall romantic mystique. Guidebook publisher Deborah Sakach states, “We believe all of our efforts have produced a wonderfully unique selection of the country’s best inns so that couples can experience the ultimate in romantic travel.  The inns selected specialize in creating a romantic atmosphere and the innkeepers pride themselves in pampering their guests.”

“We are delighted that the Candlelight Inn was selected as one of the Top 10 Most Romantic Inns,” said Wendy Tamiso, owner of the Candlelight Inn.  “It’s a great honor to be rewarded for the romantic amenities and hospitality we work so hard to provide our guests not only at Valentine’s Day, but year-round.  We like to think it’s the extras like full-time concierge service, our decadent chocolate cake and fruit and cheese platters, plus our romantic itineraries that helped to distinguish Candlelight Inn for this award,’ finished Tamiso.

Vacationers who enjoy unique and historic B&Bs will find a refreshing change of pace at Napa’s award-winning Candlelight Inn.  Built in 1929 by the local postmaster, the inn is an exquisite example of English Tudor architecture. Secluded beneath towering redwood trees along the banks of the Napa Creek, the Candlelight Inn’s quiet, estate-like grounds appeal to guests who return to the inn again and again. Manicured gardens and a spacious swimming pool invite guests to relax and linger. Several giant redwoods, sequoias, cedars, and one special cork tree grace the property, providing private shady areas where guests sit and enjoy the inn’s quiet sophistication.  Most Candlelight Inn rooms have a private deck or balcony, two-person marble Jacuzzi tub, and fireplace. All have air conditioning, TV, private bath, and telephone. Each has its own design style and special touches, but all come with the inn’s signature hospitality. Guests comment all the time that they feel that they have landed in the middle of a storybook romance.
