Day One: Wine Taste along the Silverado Trail & 29

- Venture east on Route 121 to William Hill and Jarvis, two terrific wineries off the beaten path (Jarvis tours and tasting by appointment only).
- Drive back to the Silverado Trail and head north.
- Revel in the scenic beauty of this road less traveled.
- Stop at Pine Ridge for a barrel to bottle sampling, Darioush for a taste of superb Syrah, or Steltzner to try limited-edition reds.
- Head north to Mumm for some champagne and a beautiful view of the valley.
- Backtrack a bit to Yountville Cross Road, stop at Goosecross Cellars for lush, handcrafted wines, then cross over to Route 29.
- Picnic fare at Oakville Grocery, or lunch at Brix with lovely outdoor gardens, or the ever popular Mustard’s Grille.
- Head north into Oakville for the valley’s best winery tour at venerable Robert Mondavi.
- Complete your tasting experience at the spectacular Opus One (tours by appointment only).
- Return to the inn for a rest and complimentary wine & cheese.
- End your long day with an in-room massage.
Day Two: A Day in Napa

- Wander downtown Napa. Experience the wonderful gift shops, antique stores, and galleries.
- Oxbox Market for a great variety of food, cheese, and wine with lovely patio for dining.
- After lunch, stay and do some wine tasting at Tasting at Oxbow, Mason Cellers, Rocca, Vintner’s Collective, Ceja Backroom and Bounty Hunter all within walking distance in downtown Napa.
- Spend the afternoon exploring COPIA’s exhibits and displays.
- Come back to the inn for wine and cheese before heading off to dinner at ZuZu or Elements for a tapa’s style fare.
- Delight in a performance at the Napa Opera House or take in some jazz at Silo, or Uva’s or more lively Downtown Joe’s.
Day Three: A Day in Calistoga

- Drive to Calistoga for a morning of kitsch at the Old Faithful Geyser and Petrified Forest.
- Relish a relaxing lunch at Wappo Bar or Brennan’s. Both restaurants offer lovely outdoor seating.
- Meander and shop the many boutiques of the four-block town, or trek the trails at Bothe State Park.
- Arrive at your afternoon spa appointment at the Mount View Hotel & spa for mud bath and mineral baths or Lavender Hills for couple’s massages.
- Stroll over to Jole for farm to table California cuisine at its’ best.
Day Four: Ballooning & Carneros

- Wake early for your appointed lift off into the wild blue yonder, followed by brunch.
- Return to the inn for a dip in the pool or a nap.
- Head out to an afternoon art and nature tour of the di Rosa Preserve or a “shop til you drop” visit to the Napa Premium Outlets.
- Enjoy a late picnic lunch with tasty Pinot Noir at Bouchaine, or round out the late afternoon sipping sparkling wine at Domain Carneros and thrilling to the magnificent views at Artesa winery.
- Come back to the inn and relax before dinner. Treat yourself to fine dining at La Toque Ken Frank’s excellent wine pairing menu.
Or be causal on the patio at Angele’s or Celedon. Selection is plentiful for superior dining in the Napa Valley.
Day Five: A Day in St. Helena

- Tee off at one our local golf clubs, or grab the reins of a faithful steed and ride the trails of Skyline Wilderness Park.
- Head to St. Helena, stopping at V.Sattui for a wine tasting and picnic lunch on their lovely grounds.
- Saunter the sidewalks of St. Helena. Window shop (or do some damage!) at the fabulous home accent and gift stores.
- Attend an afternoon cooking demonstration at the Culinary Institute of America.
- Enjoy one more wine tasting at Beringer, Prager (known for luscious ports), or Kelham Vineyards (by appointment only) before sitting down to an evening meal in St. Helena. We recommend Terra, Tra Vigne, Martini House or Go Fish for great seafood. Catch a great sunset at the posh restaurant at Auberge du Soleil.
